| KPYL General Information Sheet KPYL General Information Sheet 2013 spring season Revised 10-6-2012 Team Information All levels listed below will run assuming King Philip Youth Lacrosse, Inc. (KPYL) secures enough field space and coaches. The Learn to play fee is a straight fee for a separate program, Children enrolled in LTP do not apply toward the multi-child discount for the U9, U11, U13 and U15 programs. US Lacrosse Membership All participants must be US Lacrosse Members, Membership is done online at www.uslacrosse.org. Participants must be registered with US Lacrosse by December 15th 2011. Players not registered with US Lacrosse will not be allowed to participate in the program. KPYL Learn To Play (LTP) Lacrosse: • Is a development program for young children. • Will have approximately 50 girls and boys this season. • The fee is $80.00 per player. KPYL Girls Lacrosse will field: • U9: Two (2) team with approximately 20 players. • U11: Two (2) team with approximately 18 players. • U13: Two (2) team with approximately 18 players. • U15: Two (2) teams with approximately 18 players per team. • The fee is $190.00 for 1st child, 175.00 for 2nd, 160.00 for the 3rd and 75.00 for the 4th. KPYL Boys lacrosse will field: • U9: Two (2) team with approximately 20 players. • U11: Three (3) teams with approximately 22 players per team. • U13: Four (3) teams with approximately 22 players per team. • U15: Three (3) teams with approximately 22 players per team. • The fee is $190.00 for 1st child, 175.00 for 2nd, 160.00 for the 3rd and 75.00 for the 4th. Age and eligibility for all teams: • LTP – 5 through 8 years old. Note: some skilled 7 and 8 years old will play at U9. • U9 – 1st and 2nd grade: Players cannot be 9 prior to January 1st. • U11- 3rd and 4th grade: Players cannot be 11 prior to January 1st. • U13 - 5th and 6th grade: Players cannot be 13 prior to January 1st. • U15 - 7th and 8th grade: Players cannot be 15 prior to January 1st. Note: If a player is in public high school, they are NOT eligible to play on any KPYL U15 team. Player Participation and Attendance: KPYL understands the opportunities for our youth to participate in the many excellent programs in the area. KPYL is committed to teaching teamwork and developing first-rate lacrosse players. In fairness to all that do attend KPYL practices and games, coaches reserve the right to limit playtime based on this policy. With that in mind, all U9 and U11 players are strongly encouraged to attend all practices and games. All U15 and U13 players MUST attend all practices and games. Failure to adhere to this policy may jeopardize a player’s eligibility to participate in the program. Please check your schedules to insure that there are no conflicts with other sports etc. Please note that schedules DO change during the season and we still expect all U15 and U13 players to be at all lacrosse practices and games. Please consider that when looking at all other sports schedules before the start of this season. About KPYL King Philip Youth Lacrosse (KPYL) was founded in 1996. Towns participating in the program include: Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville. The governing body for King Philip Youth Lacrosse is the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League (MBYLL) (See MBYLL Game Competitive Guidelines or www.mbyll.org regarding for game rules). KPYL is also affiliated with US Lacrosse which provides the insurance for all of our GREAT players. Please visit them at www.uslacrosse.org for more information. What’s included in your KPYL registration fee? Individual registration fees cover the following: 1. All field maintenance and user fees. 2. Officials and Tournament Fees 3. Team uniforms as required (LTP receives a practice jersey) 4. Winter Preseason Indoor training. 5. Coaching certification and training. KPYL Refund Policy When the order for the season’s uniforms has been placed with the supplier no refunds will be granted under any conditions. Please make sure that there are no conflicts with your schedule for this season. Thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter. Announcements, schedule changes and website address www.kplacrosse.com All practice and game information will be posted on the KPYL website. Please refer to the site for the most current information. Any changes to the practice and or game schedules will be posted on the main (front) page of the site one (1) hour prior to the scheduled practice or game. Please check the web site prior to leaving for a practice or a game to insure that there are no changes. If you do not see a change, the original schedule stands. LTP schedule LTP starts on Sunday, April 21. Please check the web site for up-to-date information. Girls Practice Times Practices start around February 22nd (Indoors). Starting outdoors on March 18th depending on weather. Practice times are usually 5:30pm to 7:00pm weekdays and the actual days and times will be determined in the spring and posted on the web site. (See “Player Participation and Attendance” section of this information sheet) Boys Practice Times Practices start around February 25th (Indoors). Starting outdoors on March 19th depending on weather. Practice times are usually 5:30pm to 7:00pm weekdays and the actual days and times will be determined in the spring and posted on the web site. There will be one practice each week for the U9 teams. There will be two practices each week for the U11, U13 and U15 teams (See “Player Participation and Attendance” section of this information sheet) Game Times Games are usually played on Sundays. There may be a few add-on games scheduled during the week. Regular season games begin around April 11th and end around mid June. The full schedule will be announced and posted on the web site as soon as it’s available. (See “Player Participation and Attendance” section of this information sheet) All away games will have directions posted on the web site or distributed to the players by their coach. Directions to the KPYL Practice and Game Fields at The Rice Sports Complex, in Wrentham From Route 495: Take 495 to Route 1A (exit 15) towards Wrentham follow route 1A through center of town past the Route 140 and Route 1A intersection in Wrentham center then take your first left at the blinking light onto North Street. Take your first left onto Emerald Street. Take your third left into the Rice Complex. From Route 95: Take 95 to Route 1 (exit 9) towards Wrentham. Take Route 1 to Route 115. Take a left onto Route 115 and then take a left onto Route 1A. Look for blinking light on the right and take a right onto North Street. Take your first left onto Emerald Street. Take your third left into the Rice Complex. All away games will have directions posted on the web site or distributed to the players by their coach. Field policy William Rice Complex Field Guide Lines To: All parents and players attending events at the King Philip Youth Lacrosse fields (Rice Field Complex in Wrentham. King Philip Youth Lacrosse event attendees must abide by the field rules and regulations set forth by the Wrentham Recreation Department or we risk losing our fields. The rules are as follows, • There is NO drop off or pick-up from Emerald Street!! • There is NO drop off or parking next to the fence in the parking lot • All cars MUST drive slowly in and around the Rice Complex. • All cars MUST be parked in the main parking lot. • No alcoholic beverages are allowed anywhere on the Rice Complex property. • All parents and players MUST not leave any trash on the fields. Please take home everything that you brought or place it in the trash receptacles located through out the facility. Anyone who is not adhering to these simple, common sense rules will be asked to leave the event immediately. KPYL reserves the right to ban that parent and/or player from returning to any events held at the KPYL fields! We are sorry to be so harsh but we all have too much to lose and were doing this for the future of our children and our love for the game of lacrosse!!! Please help us!
